About us
The Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Queensland (aka ICCI Queensland) is a not for profit organisation.
Based in Brisbane, it is the youngest Italian Chamber of Commerce operating in Australia.
Established in 1989, it received official recognition from the Italian Government in 1995 since it is part of the Assocamerestero network and works alongside 78 other Italian Chambers of Commerce in almost every country in the world.
Currently serving an ever-growing number of members, associate companies and individuals in Italy and in Queensland, our aim is to:
• promote Made in Italy,
• organise business networking events,
• provide professional support and advice,
• foster trade and economic investment between Italy and Australia.
Global Structure
The Italian Chambers of Commerce Abroad (CCIE) are associations of entrepreneurs and professionals, both Italian and local, officially recognised by the Italian government under Law No. 518 of July 1, 1970. Their mission is to support the internationalisation of Italian businesses and promote Made in Italy around the world.
Originally established as hubs for Italian business communities abroad, the CCIEs have grown and consolidated over time into a widespread and recognised network. They are now an integral part of the business communities in the countries where they operate. Approximately 88% of the 20,000 member companies are local businesses that view Italy as a strategic partner for trade and/or investment opportunities.
The CCIE network worldwide:
86 Chambers in 63 countries
160 service points
21,000 members (88% are local companies)
300,000 business contacts: the network around the CCIEs
